How a DOMOS Smart Home Installation Works

A DOMOS smart home goes from first message to handover in five steps: tell us about your home, a free site visit, a written proposal and quote, installation by our own team, then app setup and handover. After-sales support continues after that.

Five steps from enquiry to handover

  1. 1. Tell us about your home

Send a WhatsApp message or fill in the quote form with your home type, area and what you would like to automate. We reply within one working day.

  2. 2. Free site visit

In KL and Selangor we visit at no charge to check your wiring, doors, windows and Wi-Fi coverage, and to understand your daily routines.

  3. 3. Proposal and quote

You receive a written proposal listing every device, the scenes we suggest and the price — before any work starts.

  4. 4. Installation

Our own installers do the work — no outsourcing — and leave the house clean. For renovations, we coordinate with your interior designer or contractor.

  5. 5. App setup and handover

We set up the app for the whole family, connect Google Assistant or Alexa, and show everyone how to use the switches, scenes and app.

How long does installation take?

It depends on the size of the job. You get the expected installation time together with the quote, and for renovations we schedule around your contractor so the smart home is ready when you move in.

What happens after handover?

One team stays responsible from start to finish. If you want to change a scene, add a room or need help with the app, contact the same DOMOS team that installed your system.

Installation questions

Do I need to be at home during installation?

Someone needs to let the team in, and we recommend the main users are there at handover so we can set up their phones.

Which areas do you cover?

Our own team covers Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. For other states, see our partners page for a DOMOS partner near you.

Is the site visit really free?

Yes, in KL and Selangor, and there is no obligation to go ahead.
